My Mom’s fabulous window boxes were on our back deck by our outdoor table. She had these cascading petunias and then we had these pots of herbs we’d snip while making dinner in the summer… I always wanted her to show them off a little more and put them under all of our front windows. 🙂
Now it is my chance to have my own window boxes and I feel like I’m starting in one of the hardest seasons… a Fall Window Box. Hmmm… what do you put into a fall box? Well, I want to work with the greens, purples and whites instead of the more typical red, orange and brown colors. We just painted our door “Fig” and AJ and I are looking for ways to make it pop out a little more.
What do you think of these ideas using mostly the purple kale / cabbage, white gourds and grasses or ivy? What would you do? (all these pics are from Googling “Fall Window Boxes”… I wish I could take credit for them!)
