You know when you walk into a store and you instantly feel at home? I went to look for a wedding gift for a friend at West Elm at the Wayside Commons in Burlington and could have spent all day there if Drew wasn’t on the edge. I’ve liked their catalogs for a while but I never really thought about getting anything from there until I was in the store and saw these glorious chairs for $100. Like statement chairs… I’m thrilled to have returned some cushions I got at Pottery Barn with my gift cards because now I have enough for a chair (West Elm is owned by Pottery Barn / Williams Sonoma)… how much more satisfying to buy a chair instead of chair cushions, right? 🙂
Once I got home I promptly opened the iPad to West Elm’s page and scoped out some fabulous finds… my newest brainstorming is for our bedroom… not the one you see here, but the one that
we AJ has ripped out the walls in and vaulted the ceilings.
I just love this headboard… I’m trying to figure out if it’s classic enough, though… I don’t want something that in three years I’ll think “oh, that’s so 2011” and want a replacement.
And then, I’m in love with this bed frame… try to picture it without the headboard, which doesn’t come with it. It’s only $249 for the frame and it works with or without a boxspring… I really love the simplicity of just the frame, and I like the idea of choosing later what headboard works…
And then I can just picture this bench at the end of our bed… inevitably to catch our clothes at the end of the night… you know how it’s just easier to take care of them
in the morning later.
And then I can picture this fabulous chair in a little sitting area by our electric fireplace:
For our little office area I thought this industrial stool would be an interesting complement to the upholstered pieces. I’m not sure I’d have the guts to do it, especially since it’s $169, and has no back.
I’m getting exhausted so I’m going to log off before I do something crazy like buy all of the things I just blogged about.
