Drew and I popped into Pottery Barn the other day and I found this great burlap runner there that I loved… and then it was no where to be found on the website. Why didn’t I buy it in the store? Well, because I had a feeling it would cost the entire amount of my $50 gift card and I knew I could make one for pennies.
Enter my trip to Joann Fabrics with Drew. And his wheelbarrow. I was embarrassed to bring the wheelbarrow into the store but when I realized that it allowed me to do my entire shopping in peace I let him bring it into the grocery store too. 🙂
I ended up settling on this great piece of linen instead of burlap… it was a lot more per yard, but since I needed 1/3 of a yard and was armed with a 40% off coupon my runner cost me $2.50.
I’m deciding whether I want to hem in the rough edges or leave them rustic looking.
What do you think? It’ll be easier to wash them if they are hemmed…
Aren’t the lines of it great?
One last shot all zoomed out:
Normally I don’t post on weekends… but last night I had the photos all ready to post and edit when my David Baldacci book just called my name… I mean, I HAD to find out what was going to happen… AJ and my mom say they lose me when I find a good book. It’s so true… off to the library this morning to find a replacement.
Lastly, here’s what our breakfasts look like around here… we are surrounded by the ones we love.
He feeds them all. I tell him he’s a great Daddy. 🙂
Here he is on his fire engine in his PJs and sweatshirt… it’s freezing in the mornings!
Have a great weekend!
