I know it’s only October 15. And I know the next photo has the word “Christmas” in it… but I am planning ahead here, Friends. One of my all time favorite things about blogging thus far was the 12 Days of Christmas that I started last year after getting the idea from Bower Power blog. It was so great to see so many different people participate showing off their houses. This year I want to do the same thing… and I’m looking for New Houses. New recipes. New traditions.
The 12 Days of Christmas is going to start on Friday, November 30 with the Advent Calendar that has been in my mind for months now… I’ll give you a hint, I’ll be using the giant window above our buffet in the kitchen. Last year I featured writing a memory on our Christmas tree stump for the first day of the series.
I need YOU to participate, if you’re up for it. Email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you’d be interested in sharing your Christmas decorating, a craft, a gift list or a recipe. If you want an idea of what I’m looking for Google “Migonis Home 12 Days of Christmas” or just look through the December 2011 archives.
Okay, on to a minor update… well, at least it’ll seem minor to you but it seems amazing to us. We have a working light in our walk in closet thanks to AJ’s hard work this weekend! It makes all the difference in the world when choosing our clothes… I mean, we can actually see what we are looking at now! I can’t wait for the day I show you a picture of our closet and it doesn’t look completely unfinished and scary… sometime.
Second master bedroom ultra minor update….
We have a hydrangea bush in our side front yard that has been turning this gorgeous shade of pink as the season goes on, I snipped a few branches this morning and brought them inside to extend the gorgeous color into the master bedroom.
Drew loves when we “light” the electric fireplace. 🙂
Lastly, I want to share with you one of my all time favorite photos of Drew that I took this weekend while we were at a Pumpkin Festival in Wellesley, MA. Drew had just come down the slide and I caught is hair static-y from the plastic. I love his little grin and his cuddly sweater. It’s so rare I get photos of him head-on because he’s moving a mile a minute.
That’s all. Just an incredibly random Monday update.
I’m off to join AJ on the couch and do some reading…
