This year we were part of a really fun tradition in Manchester… GHOSTING. I have no idea who starts it in town each year but they will fill up a Halloween treat bin (like below) with a bunch of candy and deliver it to a couple people’s houses. If you live in a small town this may be something fun for you to start.
In the treat bin comes your “ghost”, that you need to post on your front door, and instructions on how to pass it along.
To keep the “BOO” going you follow these directions, it’s really fun to see the ghosts in people’s doors all around town.
We chose someone AJ wasn’t sure would be ghosted and then some people my sister baby-sits for occasionally. It was so fun to choose our people, pick out the supplies and feel like you were part of something a lot of people in the town were participating in. And to see their face when they opened the door (we were hiding in the car).
Speaking of something a lot of people were participating in…
last night we went to Chipotle all dressed up to get their $2 burritos, you had to be in costume, but when we got there and saw the line was out the door we drove to Five Guys… where the entire restaurant stared at us because we were the only people in costume. 🙂
I ripped apart a sheer curtain from IKEA that we weren’t using anymore and bought some silver glitter eye shadow at the Dollar Store. While there I bought AJ the stylin’ clown bow tie and gloves (not pictured). If you can believe it we have the rest of the stuff in our costume department. 🙂
The Lion and His Mummy. She’s looking a little dead in this photo… 🙂
Drew is pointing to the screen as I type this saying “Momma, Momma” while pointing to me.
I hope you all had a great, and safe, Halloween!
