Wednesday night was a hard night. Maybe it was because we let Drew have more candy than usual (I think we had three lollipops in a four hour time period and then other candy…eeek for his teeth and his organs…) but because candy is almost always more appealing than dinner he filled up on that instead of good food. We paid the price for it in the middle of the night when he woke up hungry and kept us awake.
The next morning, as I’m totally struggling through morning sickness, I said to AJ: “I don’t know who has it worse today, me or you.” AJ planned to work all day with 120 7th graders then go to a house closing for a friend and then straight to his grad school class. I was at home with an incredibly cranky and whiny almost two year old. But for some reason Drew snapped out of it pretty quickly and was a total champ all morning (don’t you just love mini miracles like that?).
He let me clean almost the whole house (I totally involved him, don’t worry); I was in desperate need of some updated photos for the blog of certain rooms because I am completely honored to be included in Kristen’s Friday House Tour over at Sixth Street Design School. Head over there and check out our updated house photos (click here for the tour). It was so fun for me to take down the outdated ones on our House Tour page because it means we are making progress (even if it doesn’t feel like it while we are living in the moment).
While you are over at her blog check out her gorgeous home here, you won’t regret it.
If you are a follower of Sixth Street Design I am thrilled that you stopped over here.
Please, shoot me an email, I’d love to hear from you!
Come back on Monday for… drumroll, please:
