No bathroom progress to share today… tomorrow I’ll have some much more finished photos to share with you. AJ finished the grouting the tub last night and finished the floor tiles for the plumber to come back tomorrow sometime between 10am and 2pm. I went to Home Goods today and picked up the last of our little accessories (curtain rod, toilet paper holder, etc.) with my gift card.
Another project that’s been on my mind lately is Baby’s nursery (due date of April 5). I ordered the story I’m framing for her nursery this morning and my mom and I have been measuring Drew’s bumper and bed skirt to get an idea for how much fabric we’ll need. My mom is a far better sewer than I am so I turned to her for help on making a feminine nursery that isn’t too childish.
I found these fabrics at BuyFabric.com and am trying to figure out how I want to use them in the nursery… I’m thinking of using this fabric for the bumper and then using some big thick ribbons to hold it to the crib.
I love these next two fabrics because they aren’t stuffy and seem like it would be a fun print pattern mix with the more formal bumper.
Now onto this fabric… I’m totally in love with it, and may decide to use this instead for a bumper…
can you tell I’m being indecisive? 🙂
So, I had a blast reading your feedback yesterday on what you’d do for the bathroom valance.
Tell me, if this was your little girl’s nursery how would you mix and match the patterns below? And what would you do for a crib sheet color (I’m leaning towards Pottery Barn’s organic cotton plain white one…). Talk to me about bumpers, bed skirts and curtains.
