I’m sitting in bed on Monday night writing this post with zero guilt about not doing any house projects. The Houzz photo shoot is done (picture me jumping up and down with happiness… only I don’t have the energy to do that now. :))! It was such a great experience and it was so fun to see the majority of our projects on our to-do list come together over the course of this past week. I really wanted to finish up some stuff in the bathroom to make it as photo-ready as possible. Is it completely done? Nope. See that bare spot above the toilet? That is where the floating shelves will go, they are made, sanded, holes filled and awaiting paint. And the window will be delivered in about a month give or take.
I took these photos while the Houzz photographer was in another room… if I waited too long there was too great a risk that Matchbox cars, books or animals would end up in the shot. There seems to be a trail of those things around the house. 🙂
AJ installed a new ceiling as we prepped for the photo shoot. We used a bunch of beadboard left over from other projects and then just had to purchase a little extra to finish the job. He then finished the edging with some crown molding.
This is the view from the hallway… I’m itching to get the new window so I can make the valence with all the fabulous colors (for now, I’ll bring in some of those colors into the floating shelves when accessorizing).
You’ll see from this shot that we need to go over some areas again with another coat of paint but I think we’ll wait until the new window comes in and we break out the white again for the trim work.
Anyone else have a busy weekend and feel they are finally relaxing now that the week is here?
