Around Christmas time I was driving through Beverly Farms on my way back from picking us up a pizza when I spotted a window display of giant mailboxes. Those mailboxes made me think how fun it would be for my Valentine’s Day tablescape to have tons of cards popping out of mailboxes…
When I was at Kim’s Valentine’s Card Making Party this past weekend I got further inspiration. She had these adorable little stickers with “love is a circus” or “I’m wild about you” printed on it… all taken, obviously, from a circus theme. I loved all the bright colors and how this could be inspiration for a not so typical Valentine’s Day table.
Before I added the cards it was looking a little Minnie Mouse with the red and white polka dots and yellow flowers but with the addition of jelly beans and some sweet little cards it looks much more fun and festive… perfect for a Valentine’s with a little two year old. 🙂
AJ’s all time fave candy are jelly beans.
Snickers are a close second.
This is the card I made for Drew during Kim’s card making party.
I took Drew’s toy Ferris Wheel and used it on the table.
This is by far the most kid friendly table I’ve done.
This weekend I was sent the questions I need to answer for the Houzz interview / house tour (the writer and photographer, Tess, are coming on February 24). We moved our stuff back into the master bedroom this weekend and are working on the rest of the rooms to make them up to par. She sent me some great questions and I’ll be posing some of them to you over the course of the next couple of weeks.
Here is today’s question (answer in the comments or on Facebook):
Where do you shop for your home and what would be your dream home item?
