Welcome to the first annual Valentine’s Week!
Here’s what we started the long weekend with… Blizzard Nemo!
We ended up getting about 2 feet of snow but thankfully never losing our power.
Drew wasn’t outside long… he hated the wind.
I found that little puppy hat for under $2 at Old Navy (he loves dogs). Look at his “stop” and “go” mittens, they are from my dad’s grandmother… my aunt found a whole bag of stuff that she knitted recently.
The blizzard made the turnout at my sister, Kim’s, annual Valentine’s Day card making party on Saturday far less than was expected, which was too bad because she made the whole house look adorable.
She wrote on all the mirrors with soap quotes from movies or books.
I loved her little pom pom balls; she did such a great job of mixing the red and pinks without having it look clashy.
Kim’s theme was “Candy Shop” and she filled various containers with red candies.
She mixed red and light pink tulips and little galvanized buckets and placed them over the mantle.
Her fun decorations moved onto the food table where she had an amazing spread.
This popcorn from Trader Joe’s is addictive.
Don’t you love how she had the little popcorn bags for guests to ladle out their own popcorn?
Each year she adds to her stash of cute little things for making the Valentine cards.
Kim had an apothecary jar filled with ribbon and then had an assortment of trinkets to put on cards.
She was totally prepared with tons of scrapbook paper and even had the glue guns set up right next to an outlet.
Look at these little details she had for guests to use!
Doesn’t this make you want to host your own card making party?
Pretty much any party Kim hosts turns out looking adorable!
