I’ve been itching to do a spring tablescape for a while now but I wanted to do one that didn’t look like everything I’d seen on Pinterest. I started with some lilac branches that I’m forcing and then yesterday we had some gorgeous flowers delivered from April and Kerry (AJ’s mom and step-dad). The flowers were stunning arranged just the way they were but I decided to take out a few of the white flowers to add into the lilac branches for a little something extra.
I put my faux eggs from Joann Fabrics into the top of the vase lined with moss the blue egg inspired a blue and white table-setting.
My Mom and Dad gave me some glass bird place card holders for my birthday and I’ve been excited to put them to good use. I’ve got the table set for four, although, it’ll just be three of us for Easter breakfast. I made the little place cards in Word with some free fonts I downloaded. My absolute favorite Easter treat surrounds them… Cadbury Mini Eggs.
I found these little birdhouses at Michaels and painted them with some leftover paint from the bathroom (Benjamin Moore’s Harbor Gray) and then topped them with moss.
I filled our cake stand with French Toast this morning, which I have already eaten a fair amount of. For Easter morning we are doing a simple breakfast on Easter morning of pancakes drizzled with chocolate with a side of pineapple, strawberries and bananas. The recipe I use for pancakes is here, it’s tastes delicious and it’s nice that we aren’t getting all the preservatives in boxed mixes.
I hope you have a wonderful, and meaningful, Easter celebrating with family! It’s my dad’s birthday on Sunday so we’ll be doing a mini birthday celebration with a lemon cake my mom has been excited to try (my dad is game for almost anything). I can’t wait to show you photos of Drew decked out in his seersucker pants and vest… it’s going to be too cute to handle. The little ladies won’t be able to keep their hands off of him (luckily, he’s mastering the art of kicking :)).
