If you didn’t know, I was an event planner pre-Drew. Well, I guess I still am, although I don’t get a salary to do it anymore. 🙂 I really wanted to create a fabulous tablescape for a romantic beachy dinner. I’m a sucker for blues, coral, hydrangea and driftwood… hence this tablescape:
I’m in love with the tablecloth fabric… I used it to do my first reupholstering project here.
My mom found the driftwood at this discount store called Reny’s in Maine. I’m in love with that store… it’s sort of like an Ocean State Job Lot or Christmas Tree Shops…
I made the rope wrapped vases here in anticipation for this tablescape. They were such an easy project that lends coastal feel to any arrangement now. The hydrangeas are from Trader Joe’s and still look fabulous a week after shooting this tablescape.
I found this wine for $3.99 at Trader Joe’s. It’s made from organic grapes and I think, in my humble, non-connoisseur’s opinion, is quite good.
I love this little wine plate. Someone gave it to us as a house-warming gift a few years ago. It’s from Mariposa and is so beachy (their headquarters are right here in Manchester!).
I tied the silverware into a simple cloth napkin from Target with a small piece of rope to further add to the coastal feel.
You’ve got to check out House by Hoff’s fabulous three tiered planter… and then make sure you pop over to Mom 4 Real tomorrow, I’m sure she’ll have something super creative planned!
I would love if you would comment with a link to one of your favorite tablescapes that you have created recently… It’s so fun to gain inspiration from all of you!
