You know those days when you feel like you’ve got it together and all your errands go according to plan and no child has a breakdown and you manage to figure out four decent and healthy meals in the grocery store with no list? Today was that day… although because I got those things done I had to only take some very cropped photos for the blog today… and any blogger knows what that means. It means there is chaos outside of the photo. 🙂 I’ve got dishes in my sink and most of the stuff I need to prep dinner sitting on the island but sometimes, the best way to relax is just to blog. To take pictures of the parts of the house that feel beautiful and special… and then once the post is up then it’s time to deal with the chaos. 🙂
First of all… fall is here when one these three things happen:
1. The fall candle comes out.
2. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies are whipped up.
3. The first cup of hot chocolate is made.
Gourds and bittersweet is such an easy and inexpensive way to decorate. I decided to layer in some driftwood for texture but also because I love incorporating the beach despite the fact that it’s no longer beach season.
I have two spots where I grab my bittersweet and I won’t put the location of it on the blog so no one can go raid that location before I do next year. 🙂
You’ve seen these photos already but I figured I’d through them into the Fall Touches post. I love walking around to the front of our house and seeing our fall display out there, it makes me so happy!
