Now, before we proceed, just check out the two lamps next to each other so you can get a feel for how puny the other pair was. We had purchased them for a house we were flipping a couple of years ago and never returned them… so they found a home behind our couch until we saved up some moula or gift cards to get something that worked in that space.
this photo was snapped on my small camera to send to AJ while he was at school to get his opinion on the lamps
I did minimal seasonal decorating in the space so it wouldn’t look like oil-rubbed bronze heaven and added my favorite throw in the whole world from Restoration Hardware (the world’s best Christmas gift, might I add, for someone hard to buy for!), some pumpkins with some branches that have turned on our forsythia bushes.
Pardon the wall in this next photo.
Remember when I told you the story of how the blown-in insulation was literally blowing into our house? We haven’t bothered to fix the wall since we need to re-drywall the entire room… a project for after AJ is done with cross-country season…
You may be thinking that I chose a shade that blends right into the wallpaper. You are correct. We won’t have this color wall forever and I know that it’s easy to switch out the shades if I get the hankering.
Aren’t the colors of those leaves gorgeous?
