Today is my 32nd birthday. And every year since I can remember my mom has made sure we’ve had a present to open at the end of our bed. Even in college. Even post college. Even into my married life. It’s great… because when I wake up at the crack of dawn with no one to say happy birthday there is a great little gift right at the end of the bed, talk about making you feel special… she dropped this off with AJ last night, gorgeous tea towels from Crate and Barrel and one of my favorite books (have you read it?):
Onto home projects…
I wanted to give a pick me up to our entryway. It was boring and has a light that was practically original to the house. Let’s do some before photos…take a peek at our old light:
and our white door (I couldn’t find a better picture!):
Here is what the space looks like now with a bright door, ORBed doorknobs and hinges and a new light:
Painting the door took about an hour. Don’t you love projects that are that speedy?
Quick facts about the makeover:
- The doorknob was built in to the door so I had to cover the surrounding area with tin foil and spray away.
- The light isn’t my favorite but we had it left over from a project at a rental. I unhooked the old light to spray paint it ORB but AJ thought it was unsafe to hook back up because it was so old.
- I am in love with the door color… it was a freebie from Lowe’s.
