Cut strips of newspaper skinny enough that it won’t be too bulky around the egg. I’ve learned that I probably should have cut mine a little skinnier so it would lay better.
Lightly dip part of the strips in the paper mache mixture and start covering the egg. I rubbed some additional paper mache onto drier spots on the egg to ensure stickiness. Make sure you don’t get it too wet because it’ll take forever to dry.
Mine dried for about 24 hours; I had to rotate them so that each side would evenly dry. This step is key otherwise the flour and water mixture may start to mold under your paint.
