This is the day I’ve been waiting for since we installed our front porch last winter…the day I could show it off to you with our front porch totally decked out for fall and our four new rockers (the last two just arrived this past week!). I decided to go very traditionally fall with our colors. AJ’s birthday was in June and the one thing he asked for were gift cards to The Mill Store so we could get four rocking chairs for our front porch. Well, here they are… we love them.
I had my eye on some garden stools from Home Goods for little side tables between our rocking chairs but couldn’t find two of a design and color that I really liked so I started brainstorming… and then remembered this great stump the previous owners left in our basement. A new side table was born (for free!)…I’m on the hunt for another one for the other side now.
I popped some of the gorgeous changing branches from our forsythia, a white pumpkin and a little bowl full of freshly picked apples onto the stump.
I bought some mums from Market Basket for $3.99 each (steal!!!) and some great pumpkins that I covered in Country Chic Paint’s Cheesecake because I really wanted white pumpkins but couldn’t find any larger ones that weren’t ridiculously overpriced. I love how everything looks with our newly painted door and door numbers (click HERE to read more about that).
The metal bin was from one of our favorite antique /thrift stores White Elephant Outlet a few years ago… we got it for $5 and I stuffed some burlap I had on hand around the plastic pots so they wouldn’t be visible.
The smaller tree stumps are from my sister-in-law’s gorgeous wedding. If you haven’t seen it you’ve got to check it out my whole post about it HERE.
Guess how much I paid for our wreath? Zip.
There were two wreaths for free at church last week and I snagged this one and took off some of tacky fake flowers from it.
I’m so glad you stopped by to see our front porch tour! 🙂
I’m part of an amazing group of bloggers who are sharing their fall home tours this week… you’ve got to check out today’s tours:
