For those of you checking in for the Enchanting Inspiration Party I’m afraid to say Nina, Michelle and I decided to suspend the link party. I’ve loved being introduced to some great blogs through it!
It was one of those fall days that was absolutely and totally perfect. The temp was perfect at 73 degrees but felt cooler because of the breeze. Crisp leaves that the kids love crunching through are all over the yard. I haven’t raked even one leaf up yet. I love seeing them there… and besides, I know I’ll have to rake them again at least two more times. I sat on the porch for a while this afternoon while the kids napped cuddled under the yellow throw sipping hot chocolate and feverishly checking things off my to-do list. I had emails galore to respond to.
I had soup for lunch that I made earlier this week (some of Butternut Squash and a lite Broccoli and Cheese) and loved placing all of the fixings for them in our box… fall veggies and starches look great and like they are part of my decorations. My decorations are eaten pretty fast around here. 🙂 There is something about fall that makes me want to cook absolutely everything from scratch. I’m not sure what it is…. maybe this desire to fill my belly with really good and solid cozy foods?
We had AJ’s brother and his fam come over to play this morning and wound up getting this adorable photo of Drew and my nephew Patrick. My friend Heather snapped it for us so we could corral the kids. 🙂 The kids and I went walking pre-nap and it just stunned me how big Drew is getting. He’s going to be four at the end of December. Four sounds so old.
I hope you are having a fantastic week… come back Friday, I’ll have another post for you then! So greatful for you, my fabulous readers!
