Remember how I told you about finding a farmhouse table and a dresser on the side of the road? I showed you the farmhouse table makeover last week HERE. The dresser wasn’t completely hopeless… but it did need a little perking up, new pulls and a few coats of paint.
I’ve been in love with a desk makeover from Liz Love Grows Wild ever since I first saw it. The mint color of the desk paired with the gold pulls was unique and made a great statement so I decided to see if my little dresser could utilize the same color combo:
I recreated the look of Liz’s desk with Refreshed by Country Chic Paint and added some fantastic pulls from D. Lawless Hardware. I think it made quite a difference!
The makeover was very simple. I just cleaned off the dresser, painted two coats of Refreshed and then finished it with a semi-gloss poly. My biggest problem was figuring out which way I liked the knobs with the color and style of the dresser. I asked people on Instagram which way they preferred it and the crowds were about split but AJ and I both preferred without the backing for the clean lines of this piece.
I staged the top with some glam accessories like my favorite perfumes, jewelry and some of the most gorgeous smelling flowers that AJ brought home for me.
What do you think of the mint and gold combo? It doesn’t work in our home but I am selling it ($50, cheap, I know). Email me at email@example.com if you are interested.
I was given the amazing paint and knobs for this project but all opinions are my own, including the fact that the paint is incredibly easy to work with and D. Lawless Hardware has the most incredible selection of gorgeous knobs. I was not told what to say or how to say it.
