For a long time I’ve had this idea of writing a book. But it obviously couldn’t be a book like everyone else’s book who rehabs furniture or has renovated their home. There had to be something special and unique about it. While sitting in church about a month ago I think I figured out what I want my niche to be. Do you think I’m crazy?
Around the same time I had this vision of a gift for anyone that signs up for emails from Migonis Home. I wanted to create a little PDF of my family’s five favorite sweet recipes, some have been passed down for years and some AJ and I have just adopted into our family in the five short years since we’ve been married. This little PDF of recipes will give you a sneak peek into some of the items I’ll be writing into my book and maybe, Lord willing, someday someone will think it’s interesting enough to publish. 🙂
I had a blast photographing and writing about the sweets and about the stories behind them. I love traditions and things you can count on… even if that tradition is something as simple as knowing that you’ll always get a Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie from us every fall and a Chocolate Crinkle every Christmas. Each of the five recipes has a photograph with a story. I’ve included some of my favorites that I’ve published on the blog but formatted the entire PDF to be 5×7 size. I’ve included my favorite recipes for Chocolate Chip Cookies and long-time family favorites: Hermit Drops (never featured on the blog!) and Hollywood Squares. Each recipe is very different from the others so it’s a great mix of flavors and textures.
I’ll be sending the recipes via email to everyone who has previously signed up for Migonis Home’s emails and anyone who hasn’t signed up yet can at the very top of the screen or immediately to the right of this post.
TELL ME… if you were going to read a book I wrote what do you think I should write about? This is a picture book so imagine lots of photos everywhere… 🙂 What draws you in from the blog and wants to make you read more?
