Elle makes it a point to tell us daily that her favorite two colors are pink and purple and no matter where we are she will point out all the pink things to me.
When I started looking for a rug I was looking for a purple one to coordinate with the lavender and aqua in her room; I couldn’t find anything that was in the exact size, style and shade of purple I wanted. As we were driving to dinner one night, Elle, once again reminded me pink was her favorite color. It clicked with me that I’d need to change just a couple things in her room to make a pink rug work (one reason why I’m a huge fan of neutral furniture that can easily have the accessories changed out!).
When I got home I started researching pink rugs and this adorable geometric design came up. I loved how it was little girly but not baby-ish.
The rug feels fantastic. Elle and Drew immediately built a fort on it and played on it for the next hour after I set it up.
Rugs USA also supplied a rug pad to go with the rug. I always have had my doubts about spending the extra money for one of these things but it’s amazing how much better this rug stays put on Elle’s floor vs. the previous rug (without a rug pad) that was there before.
I’m in love with Elle’s sweet bedding from Hayneedle. It’s so feminine and looks adorable in her room!
I’m in the market for some curtains and need to put up some more art on the wall and hang Elle’s other birdcage. I’m thinking about THESE for above Elle’s bed… aren’t they great to go with the framed Lupine Lady illustrations (if you’ve never read this children’s book it’s fantastic!)?
What do you think?
