We are making progress on the half bath! Boyd Builders came over today and did the first half of the wainscoting. We opted for the wainscoting to be 40 inches high so it’ll go four inches above the pedestal sink.
I need to do some plastering and sanding of the area behind the toilet. AJ took it out this morning before he left for work. You know… just removing a toilet at 6:15am. 🙂 It’s now sitting in our dining room.
Initially I wanted to remove the toilet paper holder and get a free-standing one but I like the way this simple one that was here when we moved in sits in the wall with the molding surrounding it.
I’m in the middle of brainstorming colors for the top half of the bath. Something that will go well with these beauties that are set to arrive sometime between tomorrow and February 9th. Any suggestions for colors you love that’ll go with our coastal color scheme?
What do you think of the half bath wainscoting? Do you love the molding as much as I do?
Looking fantastic so far!!
Thank you, Kim! I’m making the fun decision about paint color now!
Oh this bathroom is going to be beautiful! I can’t wait to see how it turns out!
Thank you, April! It’s finished now… I just need to do the painting and finish the plastering and filling in of nail holes! I kept walking by to look at it today. 🙂
Its going to look fantastic! I would go light gray on the walls, then add pops of color giving you the opportunity to use different colors thorough out the year. Looking forward to the final reveal!
you know me well, Beth, and how I always tend to go towards a light gray. 🙂 I may be slightly adventurous and do something like a blue gray or green-ish… but we’ll see. 🙂
I could see a soft corral or even a soft yellow looking great in your new powder room. Your home is beautiful.
A soft coral would be interesting! Thank you so much, Dee! 🙂
So beautiful! Seasalt by SW(Think that’s the name .) ? Mindful Gray reminds me of stormy Atlantic! Or a dark, dramatic gray?
Your suggestions are so funny bc I was thinking about a dark dark but then every photo I see of this gorgeous green appears and I think “I must find out that color!” And every single time it’s SW Seasalt! I think I’ve decided on that!
