It’s nearly the end of February so I figured I’d update you on the progress of the plans I had for the month of February.
Complete Bathroom: 80% done
Here’s how she’s looking right now:
We have a working toilet and a sink that is set up but not connected yet. This faucet will be delivered by March 3, I love the incredibly classic look to it… It reminds me of faucets from the early 1900s. My thought is that if that style was around 100 years ago it’ll still be around in a 100 years so we are doing a timeless renovation.
AJ is working his way around the bathroom cutting all the edge pieces, it’s a tedious job to say the least!

Office Makeover: 30% done
I’ve got a lot of work to do in here still. You’ll see what a horrible job I did cutting in for the first coat… practice makes perfect so I’ll get it right the second time around. It’s mostly just primer on the bottom now and I have to do all the wood work white (dreading that!).
I painted the walls Benjamin Moore’s Hale Navy to coordinate with the rug in here. Recognize it? It used to be in our living room. I’ll share my plans for the living room in a little bit, I just have to make sure I have AJ on board first. 🙂
I finally removed the sticker on the back of the desk so I can repaint it!
Guest Bedroom: 0% done
My fail for this syllabus. I cleaned the guest bedroom and that’s about it… My goals for the space include curtains and a cornice, nightstands and a bed that’s not on the floor (that’s not too much to ask, right?) and some new bedding set. The Pottery Barn rug goes really well with the wallpaper so we are going to run with it now. I’m decorating the room in blues and tans to coordinate with the wallpaper but when or if we decide to take it down it won’t hurt the room design at all.
I can’t wait to update you on the progress in these rooms… it feels so good to be well on our way to having two finished rooms!
