We have a working sink in the half bath! Last week our new faucet arrived and it was even more perfect in person than I expected. I wanted something that was elegant, classic and yet affordable. It was hard to come by.
I knew I wanted this style faucet but it was hard to find designs without white on the handles.
All the tiles are cut for the bathroom (thank you, AJ, for a long night doing that!). I have a mirror in here that I’ve painted the same color as the wainscoting because I haven’t found anything that I like better but the reasoning certainly isn’t because I haven’t been stalking my Home Goods and Marshalls. I have a general idea of what I want but haven’t found it in the price range I’m looking for.
The last piece to come into the bathroom will be the lighting. I’m not 100% sure which direction I’m going with this but I do love some of the choices at Pottery Barn Teen and Pottery Barn Kids, I’ve found that they are so much more affordable and stylish than some other sites. Once we get the bathroom and office completed I think I’m going to move onto the hallway… this photo shows you why:
I’m not going to paint the bathroom door until I can commit to painting all the trim in the hallway. I promised AJ I’d finish the projects I currently have going before embarking on another project. Do you have that problem? You start a project and then you are so excited about seeing how the next room will look that you don’t completely finish the boring details of the first room? I certainly do and so does AJ… it’s one of the things we are trying to be very aware of with this house. 🙂
