I kept telling myself I wasn’t going to officially share our bathroom vanity until that area was as done as possible. Well, that finally happened this weekend! We hung the mirror and I found the last apothecary jar I needed. We’ve lived with this vanity for a couple of months now and it’s been great. Besides having a great amount of space on the surface of the vanity for getting ready in the morning (ours is 60 inches wide) it has plenty of interior storage which was one of our must-haves for the the vanity. I love the marble surface, which is surprisingly easier to keep clean free of water marks than I thought it would be, although, with marble there will always be water marks. The one thing about the vanity that’s made me a little crazy is that when we had to turn around the pulls on the vanity (it’s shipped with them inside the drawers) and as we screwed them back in a few spots of the paint on the vanity came off, so, if you purchase this just make sure you are incredibly careful at this step.
One of my goals for the top of the vanity was to put some great apothecary jars there. I wanted it to be beautiful but practical. I filled them with soap, cotton balls and Q-tips. I searched and searched for the perfect jars at every Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Home Goods around… when I could have just purchased this set and made my life a lot easier.
I’d love to replace the pulls and knobs with something that is a little dressier and not as modern to coordinate with the faucets but I’m having a hard time finding the perfect sized ones where we don’t have to drill new holes.
Before I close… let me just give you a before and in-progress shot:
Stay tuned for the rest of the projects we have planned for this bathroom!
Great job Jen and AJ!
Thank you, Beth!
