This past Thursday was one of my favorite days of every year… I pulled out all my Christmas decor. I love the anticipation this simple act begins… the month or two before Christmas is absolutely one of my favorite times of the year. I got rid of a bunch of items and started placing some ornaments around the house as I try to figure out where I want everything. I almost bought a couple of things at Home Goods, my favorite spot for Christmas decor, this week, but thought it would be smarter to remind myself what we had first. As I’ve been shopping online for Christmas gifts I’ve found some great ideas for Christmas decorations that I wanted to share with you.
Generally every Christmas season I purchase a couple of new things. One of the traditions I started a few years ago was to give AJ, Drew and Elle a new ornament on their stocking every year. Usually it represents something about them but sometimes it’s just a cute thing I know they’ll love. I’m strongly considering this mermaid below for Elle, just got AJ a key ornament yesterday to represent his love for purchasing rental properties and found the cutest whale for Drew. Here are some others that I love… I included a few from Pottery Barn which has been a go-to in the years past for original ornaments.
The glitter ornaments below are the ones I put on the stocking every year so everyone knows which one theirs is!
Restoration Hardware Ornaments are my all time favorite… they are so quality and heavy!
One of my favorite places to find fabulously priced Christmas decor is Home Goods and Marshalls… I have my eye on some dynamite mercury glass trees to add to my collection that I found at Home Goods the other day. Here are some really cute finds from around the web that I’ve found that resemble things in Home Goods that I’ve spotted this year or that are just cute and fun.
The two stockings that we have are Pottery Barn’s and Restoration Hardware’s… I love them both! #9 above are the ones we use for the kids.
We have the Have A Very Merry Christmas banner above, I got it last year and love it:
What are your favorite Christmas decor items? Are you stocking up on anything this year?
